Built around the way you think
Does your to-do list feel overwhelming? This app asks you simple either/or questions, then shows you the top priority. Works with Apple Reminders.
You make the choices
Tackle complexity a bit at a time.
Our brains struggle to rank long lists, or to reliably assign absolute priorities. Task Compass uses Pairwise Prioritization instead.
Focus on the top task
The rest of the iceberg is always there, should you need to dive in.
When your #1 is identified, other tasks become a distraction, so Task Compass shows you the top #1 full-screen.
When #1 is done, the next one bubbles up to the top.
Your tasks are already here
Task Compass is a layer, not a silo.
You don’t need to enter your tasks all over again. They are already there: in your Apple Reminders (iOS) or Google Tasks (Android).
- No new accounts to create.
- No data migration.
- Your data stays in your Apple (iCloud) or Google account.
Cross-list Prioritization
Enable two or more lists, and you'll find that you can prioritize them naturally.
You don’t need to work with one list at a time.
Human minds can prioritize across contexts. You can enable your Home list together with your hobby projects or work lists, and you’ll naturally discover which area you should focus on first.
Operation Modes
Continuously draw from an always-prioritized task stream, or make daily plans.
Task Compass provides two operation modes:
The Stream
The simplest mode. Task Compass provides you with a single stream of prioritized tasks. Tasks you check off as done get replaced with new ones from the task pool, following your prioritization choices.
The Shortlist
Based on Oliver Burkeman’s 4000 Weeks.
A Plan-Execute pendulum. Adds a new stage after The Stream. You schedule tasks for a given day (for today or for tomorrow), building a Shortlist.
