Task Compass 1.0.4 is out on the App Store and Mac App Store.

Changed: Better estimates of remaining comparisons

The “between X and Y comparisons left” message shows more accurate numbers thanks to a significant improvement in the prioritization algorithm.

Added: Archived Lists

You can now archive lists via SettingsArchive Lists.

  • An archived list is hidden from the entire app: list selection, prioritization, and the Execute phase in the Daily Cycle mode.
  • Archiving also disables the list so reminders don’t reappear unexpectedly if you later unarchive it.
  • The Settings row shows how many lists are currently archived.

This is useful for lists “you want to have but don’t want to see.”

Fixed: macOS toolbar improvements

On macOS, the action toolbar on the caught-up task card now shows all reminder actions (Schedule, Edit, Complete, Reassess, Open in Reminders, Delete) as individual toolbar buttons, instead of collapsing them into a single ellipsis menu. Quicker access to the actions you use most.

Other changes

  • Added: “Add New Reminder” button in the all-scheduled state
  • Changed: Prioritization now starts while the card-tap animation is still running, rather than after it completes, so the next comparison appears a bit sooner
  • Fixed the estimate in the progress bar shown during comparisons
